NH Debates
A couple of quick thoughts on last nights debates.

With the exception of the SU basketball game, I watched CNN, CSPAN, MSNBC, and FOX News ALL DAY on Saturday. Im really not sure what the anchors on FOX are going to do when Obama wins again on wednesday and they can not rally around clinton bashing as a masturbatory pastime.
Republican- I am actually starting to kind of like Huckabee. If it wasn’t for the social aspects of his religious right foundation I would like him much more. I am a fan of the fair tax. He seems to bring a calmness to the debates. Ron Paul is still my man on the right though! I do not want huckabee selecting anyone to the supreme court…
I want to yell at the damn tv when when the other candidates would laugh or try to piss on him. He is the only one who actually looks deeply the issues for what they are at their base. Every other candidate seems to look at them in a vacuum.
I would rate appreciation for candidates in this order… Paul, Huckabee, McCain, Thompson, Juliani, Romney
Democrats
First off, I am a large fan of obama and have been for quite some time so my views are biased :)
Clinton does not understand at all what obama means by change! This is getting to a point of annoyance for me. I wish obama would make crystal clear to clinton what he means. He wants to change the may that everyday americans become involved with their government. He wants to bring them into the fold and therefor let the people apply the same pressure on politics that money does. Then a era of new policy can begin. Clinton on the other hand talks about change as in when she was able to give 7000 people health care in NH. SHE DOESNT FUCKING GET IT!!!!! I really hope that obama starts to drive his message and make that clear distinction. If he would have said something to the effect of “while the examples you give are change, you have yet to grasp the change I speak of and what is resonating with the american people… (then go into something about the fundamental change in the way politics work in this county).
Obama sure was lucky to have edwards at his side! That really is taking some of the pressure of him. I thought that edwards ran away with this debate. He really had no one putting him on defense and therefore was able to drive home his pro middle class stump over and over again. Richardson got slammed by the host who was not charlie when he asked something like “you brag about your energy policy but when you were running it nothing happened”. Thats a tough one to answer. His attempt at refereeing once the arrows start to fly at clinton is getting a bit old now.
I think to that in general the questions posed tonight were much tougher for the candidates then in previous debates and that is refreshing! It will be interesting to see how the nasty this starts to get as clinton gets backed into a corner. I cants wait until wednesday!
What was everyones thoughts on the debates?

i wrote this before but it was never published it properly.
Ron Paul was on Leno last night.. The guy just uses common sense thats what I like. As far as the rest of the republicans I would get upset if teh were laughing at Paul to.. That just goes to show their arrogance, ignorance or both.
The same with the democrats. Hillary is just a player as far as I can see.. Saying what she needs to get it done and its obvious. Obama may be in experienced to some however the experience that the others speak of is exactly what Myself and I assume most of the american public are sick of in Washington.
Yeah Hillary… We know all about your experience…White Water, Heath Care First Lady LOL, Inability to satisfy your hubby.
A president needs to be a communicator First he/she is our Face. Obama has this and he is intelligent and knows what he is talking about. Unlike some.
Second they need to make good decisions. In my eyes you dont need to have been in Washington for x number of years or have been an executive to know how to make good decisions. Those claims are just cop outs so they dont have to address the issues for what they are.
My biggest problem with clinton is that I can think of half of our current government that most likely resent her as much as I do. How can that be effective.
We need new ideas and young blood. Someone willing to offer the olive branch across the isle and not throw stones that clinton is so good at.
If you can watch the speach Obama gave in Rochester New Hampshire last night. I large number of anti-abortion activists stacked the audience and started chanting over the guys speach.
His reaction was what I want to see from a president in a face to face confrontation with folks that disagree with him..
He offered an ear after his speach to listen to them. He commended them on their organization and right as americans to do what they did. He was VERY respectful of their beliefs and actions.
This is something washington hasnt seen in decades..
It is time for change.
I agree with you Titty that Obama needs to be more clear. I really like that he is the type of leader who is able to inspire people into action but unless he gets specific a lot of what he says comes off as abstract platitudes. Clinton, on the other hand, backs up what she has to say with examples, plans, and concrete ideas. I wish Obama would do the same so that I could feel like I’m able to evaluate them somewhat objectively.
